It is well equipped with a wood burner, sofa, breakfast bar, fridges, hobs, dishwasher & large table/seating area with space for cooking, eating & relaxing: it is a beautiful low impact cabin, full of character, built by local craftspeople & finished by Tom & his dad

ADVENTURES

ON SITE

For children we have play areas with a huge trampoline, a fantastic play fort with swings, slides, scramble rope, climbing rope & a climbing wall, a mud kitchen, log balance beams to scale, a see saw, a playing field to run around & play football, rugby or basketball in, a pocket of wild forest to explore, a living willow den, full of fairy lights, to hide in & wildlife to encounter, or dip for in our pond, all to keep small people entertained & active. On a clear night after bedtime stories around the fire, or in the willow dome strung with fairy lights by the pond, we have awe-inspiring starry skies to lay back & gaze at. You can actually see the milky way here!

For adults there are quiet nooks (including our outdoor bathing area, the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine) to sit back, enjoy the views & unwind in, your own outdoor firepit to toast marshmallows or barbecue all manner of delights upon, or simply throw on a few logs, watch the flames & drink a glass of local ale or organic Da Mhile gin made just down the road. There is the chance to forget mobile phones, emails & social media & get together, chat, laugh, play music & games & take a breath

For both we have a selection of indoor & outdoor games so you can switch off, have fun & reconnect

Eco site

We are eco-conscious here at Wild Wellingtons and working towards being as sustainable as possible. With this in mind we are off-grid which means no wi-fi, electricity or plug points, although we have two larder fridges in the kitchen cabin. Hot water is provided by solar power (weather permitting) & light is provided by atmospheric candles, lanterns, torches & lots of solar fairy lights. Cooking is done around the camp fire, though we have indoor hobs. We honestly believe switching off and getting back to our simpler-selves makes for a more relaxing and fulfilling holiday.

We do have these amazing little red boxes: portable power packs charged by the sun which give you over 7 hours of power to charge small devices and power lights (subject to there being enough sunlight to charge the boxes).
